Mobile Game Designer - Kids Apps

Sago Mini creates beautiful and thoughtfully designed apps & toys for preschoolers and toddlers. We’re looking for an experienced interaction designer to join our digital products team to create digital toys.

As a game designer you will work with our product owners, developers and artists to craft beautiful experiences for children ages 2-5 and their parents. You will be a key advocate of the child and parent experience, applying insights and research to establish and iterate on the details of play, interaction and visual design.

What you will be doing:

• Design fun and intuitive play experiences for kids.
• Create sketches, storyboards, wireframes and paper and digital prototypes.
• Work collaboratively with digital artists, animators and developers to shape an app.
• Play test digital products with young children and parents.
• Study, synthesize and communicate observations to the team.
• Understand kids’ motivations and expectations when it comes to play.

Requirements:

• You have at least 5+ years of professional experience working in design.
• You are a natural scientist capable of making careful observations with an open mind.
• You have a curious and playful outlook on life.
• You must be a comfortable communicator and excellent collaborator.
• You have a strong visual design sensibility and a passion for details.
• You love working with and for children.

This role might be suitable for a graduate of a game, product, industrial or interactive design program, but there is no degree requirement.
