Mid to Senior Quest Designer - World of Warcraft

Job Description:

Blizzard Entertainment is looking for an experienced game designer to shape World of Warcraft’s ongoing narrative. You will collaborate with the lead content designer to build content and tell stories that both honor and advance the legacy of this rich world. The ideal candidate has experience with quest design, documentation, implementation, interactive storytelling techniques, peer review, and writing.

COVID-19 Hiring Update: We’ve transitioned to a work-from-home model and we’re continuing to interview and hire during this time. This role is expected to begin as a remote position. We understand each person’s circumstances may be unique and will work with you to explore possible interim options.

Requirements

• Experience playing World of Warcraft, and a deep understanding of its history and characters.
• Extensive content creation experience.
• Extremely strong writing, worldbuilding, and character development skills.
• Able to work creatively and meet deadlines in a demanding team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communications skills.
• Absolute passion for playing and making computer games.

Pluses

• 3 years or more of game design experience, preferably on MMO/RPG content.
• Experience managing and/or mentoring others.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience with Warcraft III and the extended Warcraft universe.
