Human Resources Generalist

The Mid-level HR Generalist is responsible for supporting a wide variety of complex and routine administrative services related to employee benefits, payroll, health insurance and company culture.
In this role, you will ensure that all onboarding elements for new hires are handled in a timely manner while managing existing employee relations. Ideal candidates will bring a proven record of success in the areas of office management, executive support, and HR policy implementation.
The HR Generalist will work closely with the Director of Human Resources to improve upon the current policies and practices, ensuring compliance with legal regulations where BSG operates as we continue to grow our team and navigate a hybrid work environment.
As an important member of the Human Resources team, the HR Generalist will assist in the preparation of and participate in all meetings pertaining to human resources functions
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
- Oversee the onboarding of all new employees, such as hiring, new employee orientation, explanation of benefits, explanation of company policies, practices and procedures, and verifying I-9
- Stay current and maintain compliance with local, state and Federal HR laws, legislation, and trends where BSG operates
- Perform pre-employment checks and any required referencing to ensure candidate qualifications
- Administer various employee benefit programs, such as group insurance, flexible spending accounts, dependent care accounts, and 401(k)
- Manage leave and paid time off programs, such as FMLA, vacation, bereavement, sick and leave of absence
- Assist with compensation and benefits planning, including coordination of annual open enrollment, changes in coverage and reconciliation with benefit provider
- Research and implement suitable training programs while maintaining record of all training delivered
- Manage data and personnel information in both physical and digital capacities while exercising the highest level of confidentiality and integrity
- Serve as a point of contact for all employees regarding HR issues and questions
- Prepare daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual reports pertaining to the HR department
- Assist in company event planning and hosting, travel and lodging arrangements, and executive scheduling as needed
KNOWLEDGE REQUIREMENTS
- Knowledge of local, state and Federal laws where BSG operates pertaining to HR is required
- Experience in data entry, navigating benefits packages and payroll processing
- Strong attention to detail while being able to multi-task
- Competency in Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Familiarity using Microsoft Office Suite, such as SharePoint and Teams

EDUCATION
- Bachelor's Degree in Business with a focus in Human Resources
EXPERIENCE
- 3+ years of HR experience working in gaming, technology, entertainment, or creative talent industries
