What we are looking for
We are currently looking for a Mid/Senior Game Designer to strengthen our Game Design team as the voice for metrics-driven game design and player experience, ensuring strong engagement, retention, virality and monetization.
You will optimise the feature set in our live, one-of-a-kind game, that bridges luxury fashion and mobile gaming, and design the future of our next game with other designers and stakeholders.
Your wealth of game design knowledge, experience, analytical thinking and insights will enable you to craft exciting new features that will position the game for greater success. The ideal candidate is able to make innovative use of game features in order to craft a fun and polished experience that satisfies player motivations and commercial targets.
What you will do...
- Design the next set of innovative features targeting numerous key metrics such as early retention, long term engagement and monetisation.
- Design features in-game to extend the game's influence past the screen and into daily life, providing an even more enriching experience.
- Proactively seek continuous improvements for the game, including feature rebalancing, A/B test proposals, offer mechanics, etc.
- Adapt and optimize designs based on data and player feedback, as well as production needs and constraints.
- Write specifications with all the information needed to implement and support new features or improvements
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to tackle issues/problems, give and consolidate constructive feedback to meet product goals.
- Stay continuously up to date on the fashion and lifestyle gaming market and competitors’ titles.
- Strive to be on top of game design trends, patterns, and consumer preferences.
What you will bring...
- 4+ years of experience as a Game Designer on mobile F2P titles
- Proven expertise in F2P systems and economy design, monetization strategy, retention mechanics and user experience
- Ability to deconstruct, analyze and communicate why best in class game systems add value with a clear understanding of trade-offs
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Good understanding of key KPIs
- Comfortable walking the line between data, experience and intuition; able to make good decisions with less than perfect data
- Collaborative, team player that thrives in cross-discipline teams
- A genuine passion for games and deep empathy for users
Bonus points if you have...
- Worked on games targeted at a female audience
- Working knowledge of the Unity framework
- Experience working on games in which players can create content
- Knowledge of e-commerce systems, pricing strategies and merchandising
- A good mind for mathematical, analytical, and logical problem-solving
- A university degree in game design, mathematics, or similar fields
