Job Description
Magic Leap, Inc. (ML) is looking for a Metrology Engineer who will work with process and manufacturing engineers to produce innovative products with market leading quality and optical performance. The person in this position will be expected to perform as an individual contributor on an interdisciplinary team through SEM and AFM inspection, nanofabrication, and device measurement. Candidates must be highly innovative and enjoy working in a dynamic and creative environment.
Responsibilities
- Carry out top down and cross-section SEM to determine nano-feature geometry
- Statistically analyze SEM data to draw conclusion on critical dimension (CD), duty cycle, side wall angle, and nano-scale defects
- Conduct AFM spot check measurement
- Develop recipes for whole wafer automated AFM measurement
- Work with vendors via service contract to perform SEM and AFM tool maintenance
- Perform optical defect inspection of wafers undergone different lithographic processes
- Work with other process engineers to identify defect mode and root cause
- Assist with development of new metrology techniques such as direct measurement of films on transparent substrates and residual layer thickness of resist underneath the nano-features
- Design process sensitivity DOE experiments on blanket films and patterned structures to help establish new baseline
- Assist nano-fabrication process development work
- Write high quality and detailed reports on SEM and AFM findings and present to internal and external audiences
Qualifications
- 5-7 years of experience. Proficient in SEM and AFM
- Familiar and run nano-imprinting tool
- Demonstrate excellent judgment regarding critical observation, problem solving, and proactive decision making
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment and adapt to rapid changes
Education
- Master degree in a related field
