Merchandising Manager, Asset Store

The opportunity

The Merchandising Lead will be responsible for defining, leading, and implementing the overall merchandising strategy for the Unity Asset Store. Working closely with the rest of the eCommerce team, this individual will be responsible for day-to-day site merchandising of the store, including execution of promotions and evergreen experiences. This role will also define category-specific strategies on how to grow revenue, support path-to-purchase optimization, and make data-driven recommendations to improve site merchandising.

Reporting to the Senior Manager, Global eCommerce, the ideal candidate would have strong analytical skills with a keen eye for detail, be data-driven, with an understanding of the Unity Engine, and experience working with asset creators/publishers. The candidate must be a strong communicator who has experience with digital merchandising.

What you’ll be doing

• Build and implement category strategies which are user-centric and data-driven in partnership with the Asset Store team
• Responsible for driving execution and achieving revenue targets on promotions with cross-functional teams from Marketing, SEO, Product Management, Web Content, Creative Services and more
• Engage with team leads to develop objectives and key results for site merchandising
• Advise cross-functional partners on site merchandising strategy, and overall eCommerce standard methodologies to drive online revenue
• Provide ongoing merchandising reporting and forecasting. Deeply understand our users, synthesize insights, and adjust strategies to hit key targets
• Partner with Web Content to optimize journeys for key segments & categories

What we’re looking for

• Strong understanding of eCommerce site merchandising capabilities with experience driving business strategies
• Experience with gaming industry or working with asset creators
• Knowledge of digital, merchandising, revenue, and on-site web metrics, with proven track record to work with large data sets and synthesize into practical insights
• Outstanding analytical skills. Experience identifying and diagnosing business drivers, and setting critical metrics and dashboards. Proficient in Excel and Google Analytics/Looker.
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• High accountability, self-motivation, and entrepreneurial spirit
• Knowledge of eCommerce; with a very strong keen eye and attention to detail, and a “user-first” mentality
• Demonstrated ability to build cross-functional relationships and influence senior leadership
