What You'll Do
Our Media Systems Engineering team is embedded in the IT team at Epic Games. Our team is globally responsible for the design, integration, and maintenance of the media & av system infrastructure at Epic Games. This role’s primary focus is service and support of the content review rooms, recording studios, editorial suites, conferencing systems, broadcast streams, and virtual production support
In This Role You Will
- Maintain integrated A/V systems including hardware, soft codecs, and control systems
- Provide maintenance and support for conference and content review rooms in the UK and EU regions
- Day-to-day site support in Guildford, Cubic Motion, 3Lateral, London Lab (Enterprise teams) as well as engineering support for MSE in this timezone
- Troubleshoot system failures and provide break/fix support
- Provide front line response for emergency requests for professional and consumer A/V systems
- Event support including live sound reinforcement and stage crew
- Maintain and organize engineering labs and storage
- Provide general administrative support, asset management, data entry, and documentation updates
- Ship and receive A/V hardware for inventory and repair
- Assist with the day-to-day support of the MSE team, including special projects
- Integration of new systems ensuring enterprise-wide standards are met and maintained across EPIC locations
- Some travel required and could be for extended periods of 1-2 weeks at a time.
What We're Looking For
- Minimum of 2 years working on a tech team, with a heavy concentration on A/V support and integration
- Experience reading and creating with signal flow diagrams, cable termination types and compatible signal types
- Working knowledge of video and audio signals, with a clear understanding of sampling rate, frame rate, frame resolution, etc.
- Experience with A/V systems such as Zoom, Dante, and Q-Sys
- Strong on-the-spot troubleshooting skills
- Friendly and patient customer service skills - able to be the positive face of the MSE Team
- Flexible nature with the ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks & activities simultaneously
- Strong administrative skills, attention to detail and follow-through
- Ability to lift heavy equipment (50+ lbs)
