Media Specialist

Remote (All locations) or Seattle, Washington, United States

As a Media Specialist at Rec Room, you will focus on growing the media presence of the brand. You will collaborate on the development of creative content that excites, educates, and engages our growing international audience of players from conceptualization to publication and measurement. This is a multifaceted role that will require high levels of cross-team collaboration and communication.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Create and oversee media content (visual, video, text) for Rec Room that is optimized for performance on each platform
• Collaborate with the Product Marketing Lead and Social Media Manager in driving creative production of campaign assets, including but not limited to web design, copywriting, and visual assets
• Coordinate with the Community teams to ensure a consistent voice and messaging to all players
• Responsible for transforming raw data into digestible reports and actionable insights
• Proactively and constantly manage social media platforms to monitor community sentiment and overall content performance
• Stay up-to-date on social media trends, emerging platforms, and best practices

WE ARE LOOKING FOR INDIVIDUALS WITH:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, (or a related field) and/or equivalent experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• A data-driven mentality, with a focus on how to use insights to influence planning and execution
• An ability to work cross-functionality with a variety of creative minds and business stakeholders
• A social media enthusiast with experience crafting engaging tactics for communities, and practical knowledge of, social media platforms including Instagram, Twitter, TikTok, Facebook, YouTube, etc. as well as community platforms like Discord, and Reddit.
• The ability to work autonomously in fast-moving, ambiguous development environments.
• A constant desire to learn, improve, and help others improve

BONUS POINTS IF YOU HAVE:

• Familiar with the Rec Room app
• Experience with Adobe Cloud Services, ideally Photoshop and Premier Pro
• A solid understanding of/passion for video games or social entertainment
