What You'll Do:
Our Material Handlers perform various tasks and functions as supported by knowledgeable warehouse leads and management. Workplace alignment and collaboration results in efficient and safe order processing and material handling. This position typically works closely with other valued team members inside the warehouse on both shipping and receiving.
- Apply material handling equipment as primary order picking methods, while performing basic WMS functions.
- Conduct put-aways, replenishments during the course of the day and ensure bills of lading, shipping labels and packing slips are all processed accurately.
- Create Advanced Shipping Notices (ASNs) through company EDI systems.
- Perform detailed Nexxio shipping software operations resulting in the accurate generation of cargo manifests.
- Own end-of-day processing to perform SAP functions, like purchase orders, transfers and vendor identification.
- Prepare export documentation following international regulatory guidelines.
- Complete “Warehouse Receipt” and “Returned Goods” forms, generate bar codes labels and submit New Product Data forms to Order Processing.
- Schedule inbound delivery appointments with carriers.
- Coordinate outbound shipments with appropriate transportation companies.
- Perform inventory control duties such as location verification, cycle counts, and physical inventory confirmation.
- Must have outstanding work ethics to perform under tight schedule, to deliver materials in a safe and efficient way as directed.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skill, along with ability to efficiently collaborate with all professional levels and diverse groups is another requirement of the role.
What You'll Bring:
- High school diploma or equivalent is desirable for this job.
- Prior forklift experience is required.
- Position requires successful completion of forklift certification prior to the movement of any pallets, palette trucks or bulk containers.
- Prior experience working in a warehouse is required and prior experience in a pick and pack environment is required.
- Previous shipping and/or receiving experience is required.
- This position requires performing some manual labor and carrying boxes up to, and sometimes in excess of, 50 lbs.
