Rovio’s Puzzle Studio has their sights set on becoming the most successful casual puzzle game studio in the world. Exploring new and emerging trends in puzzle games, the studio has built a deep understanding of the puzzle genre and its players since its founding in 2014. The studio has introduced innovations in puzzle game core with the free-flowing Angry Birds Dream Blast, and the narrative-driven Small Town Murders, as well as providing players with exciting new content and events in fan-favorite games such as Angry Birds Friends. With their games, Puzzle Studio aims to create a true emotional connection that stays with players even when they’re not playing.
Our marketing art team is looking for a motivated and collaborative Marketing Video Trainee to join our Puzzle Studio for the summer of 2021 in Espoo, Finland.

As a Marketing Video Trainee you will assist our Marketing Video Specialist. You will be responsible for creating custom levels in Unity and capturing gameplay footage to create promotional videos and media content. You will get involved in marketing processes from discussions and ideas sharing to soft launch preparations, seasonal events and campaigns video promotion, and will have a chance to work with a variety of our casual games.
Responsibilities:
- Build marketing specific levels using Unity
- Iterate gameplay for various scenarios according to briefs
- Capture gameplay footage
- Edit captured material
- Create custom graphical elements or modify existing elements to better match video briefs
Who we think will do great in this role has:

We’d love if you have:
- Video production skills (video capture, editing)
- Understanding of advertising and/or user motivations (since this position is within marketing team, the appreciation of or willingness to learn what motivates people to play puzzle games, what makes them to respond to video ads, how to appeal to emotions is a huge plus)
- Experience in 3D art
Recruitment process:
- First meeting will be two-fold: First you will meet the hiring manager. Before diving deeper into your skills, we want to know who you are and what motivates you. This is also an opportunity for you to learn more about Rovio and the specifics of the role. In the second half of the interview you’ll be introduced to our Marketing Video Specialist for a technical skill assessment. They will also be able to expand more on the day-to-day duties, the nitty-gritty of the job, and we’ll be happy to answer all your questions.
- Second meeting: You will have a quick chat with the Art Director of Puzzle Studio.
- Final round: You will be invited to meet the team lead and the rest of the team. Our aim is to get a clear overview of your skills, how you would fit with our working culture, your ambitions and where we can help you develop.
