Marketing Manager, eCommerce

Position Summary:

The Marketing Manager, UK eCommerce will be responsible for setting the direction, strategy and creating briefs for the internal and external partners needed to execute effective marketing plans to support eCommerce revenue goals. The Marketing Manager will be responsible for interfacing with partners in London and Seattle marketing teams and the buying teams collaborating in the creation and execution of engaging marketing plans for eCommerce products.

Part of that role will be to establish or refine existing marketing execution processes related to the eCommerce business, establish and track KPIs.

The successful applicant will have a solid track record of marketing execution excellence and results delivered to support B2C eCommerce programmes.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Execute integrated campaigns through email, social, PR, SEO product, brand, and web teams.
• Partner with the eCommerce buying team to understand the product vision, objectives, and intended audience(s) along with key product features and other relevant information.
• Partner with product team to understand merchandise road-map.
• Leveraging collaboration partnerships marketing resources to amplify messaging where appropriate.
• Set the strategy, create briefs and drive creation of the marketing plans for internal stakeholders to execute (using internal or external partners as appropriate).
• Provide product teams with feedback and insights from the Marketing perspective.
• Ensure communication of key information throughout the broader organization, serving as the product marketing champion.
• Measure and optimize campaign results against established business and marketing Key Performance Indicators (KPI’s), optimizing future marketing efforts.
• Help build best practices within the marketing org including, but not limited to, campaign planning and development, partner management, communication, and data, analytics, and reporting.
• Gather required data from internal stakeholders to evaluate objectives, goals, and scope to define deliverables.
• Recommend and drive forward change in areas for processes improvements.
• Collaborate and initiate messaging to respond to customer facing operational requirement.
• Track and address common themes in partnership with the customer service team.
• Analyze data to track campaign effectiveness KPIs – recommending and driving forward corrective actions when needed.
• The right candidate will be able to elegantly coordinate and balance requirements, resources, dependencies, dates, and more across multiple internal and external teams and at various levels of company seniority.
• Ability to deal with ambiguity while maintaining a focus on global strategic initiatives for product development to ensure alignment with European expansion.

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

• 3+ years of proven experience as an eCommerce focused Marketing Manager, preferably with a global consumer facing brand.
• 2+ years managing a team either directly or indirectly delivering marketing campaigns.
• Demonstrated consumer marketing experience, with a customer-centric approach in creating marketing plans that include tactical development and execution.
• Experience should include high-impact ideas created and executed within a paid-earned-owned marketing framework.
• Experience running eCommerce campaigns – technical know how should cover the following areas: email marketing, social media, digital advertising campaigns, SEO best practices.
• Demonstrated programme management skills to oversee and support the creation and implementation of launch and sustainment marketing activities, and the ability to problem-solve where needed.
• Demonstrable ability to project manage and the ability to oversee multiple projects with various key stakeholders.
• Agency side execution experience delivering eCommerce campaigns is ideal.
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing or an equivalent combination of education, qualifications and experience.
• Proficiency and comfort with Excel, especially in analyzing and managing large quantities of data.
• Proficiency in project management software/tools is a plus.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to gain consensus among stakeholders.
• Action and result oriented with solid organizational skills, attention to detail, drive and resilience.
• Strong team player, with excellent communication skills.
• Additional European or Japanese language skills a plus.
• Must possess solid organizational, meeting management, effective time management skills.
• Solid technical background, with understanding of software development and eCommerce web technologies.

Work Conditions:

• Must be able to travel domestically and internationally.
• The role is principally based in London – however TPCi London staff may work from home till January 2022. This policy is subject to change.
• From January 2022 TPCi will implement a hybrid Working From Home – Office working pattern. Full details available on application.
