Marketing Creative Director III - Global Marketing, GMC

As Creative Director III on the Global Esports Creative Team, you will establish, execute & uphold the holistic creative vision of Riot Esports Network. As we launch this exciting new product, you are both broader visionary & actively writing its first chapter.
Reporting to the Global Head of Esports Creative, you will help build and actualize a long-term creative vision for REN. You will build compelling creative platforms, concept breakthrough campaign tactics, and oversee it all to flawless execution. You are a source of constant innovation and use that to build REN into a compelling home for the future of sports.
You will partner with the brand team to translate strategy into resonant campaigns that achieve our goals & set this product up for long term growth & success. You will provide feedback and lead other team members, such as designers and associate creative directors, to deliver their best work. Using your expertise within the industry, you will guide selection of vendors and partners, working with them to deliver industry-leading work. You will collaborate closely with cross-team partners, ensuring your creative vision is upheld and executed to the highest standard across Digital, Broadcast, Social and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Build & effectively communicate a unique creative vision for REN that sets it up for growth
- Concept compelling creative platforms & campaign tactics
- Ensure all creative executions meet or exceeds the Global Esports Team’s quality bar, especially when working with external partners
- Lead & collaborate with partner teams (Digital, BD, Events, Broadcast) to ensure their creative outputs deliver on the vision & uphold the quality bar
- Foster processes for cross-team collaboration that best suits the needs of the creative work & the product
- Work closely with Brand partners to ensure all work is delivering on core strategy
- Contribute to a culture of innovation within the Global Esports Creative Team, constantly questioning the expected and pushing the standard of how we best execute culture-shaking work
Required Qualifications:
- 7+ years experience at an advertising agency or client-side with a focus on executing exciting creative work that meet brand goals
- Strong expertise in concepting campaigns and executing them across a variety of mediums
- Breadth of executional experience, from live action films to animation to events
- Experience sourcing & guiding production partners to bring your vision to life
- Discerning eye for detail & ability to self-edit to get the best possible work
- Innovative creative mind that proactively seeks out new, better ways forward

As the Marketing Creative Director III on the Global Esports team, you will be responsible for both foundational creative strategy and final execution of creative work for Riot Esports Network.
Reporting to the Global Head of Esports Creative, you will help build and actualize a long-term creative vision for REN, including everything from branding to mixed media publishing projects. You will partner with the brand team to translate strategy into resonant campaigns that achieve our goals & set this product up for long term growth & success. You will develop branding, campaign ideas, content and establish how the brand expresses itself to fans through all forms of media. You will oversee the selection of vendors and partners, guiding them to deliver industry-leading work. You will guide the ideation and execution of every aspect of the creative process. You will also shape and lead the creative vision for REN with cross-team partners, ensuring creative is executed to the highest standard across Social, Events, Broadcast, Digital, etc.
Responsibilities
- Translate briefs into creative work that delivers on strategic objectives
- Develop, optimize, and present creative concepts to product leads and stakeholders
- Uphold & execute the creative vision established by Creative Director III, VCT
- Own the development of campaign assets through production
- Articulate the creative strategy and lead cross-discipline teams to deliver on that strategy
- Partner with cross-functional teams to execute collaborative work or provide feedback to guide their creative outputs
- Cultivate product intimacy to deliver informed, insightful creative concepts
- Ensure all campaign executions meet or exceeds Riot’s quality bar, especially when working with external partners
- Develop solutions to campaign challenges while driving innovation and encouraging experimentation
- Seek out opportunities for personal learning and development, and cultivate curiosity by sharing insights into relevant industry trends to inspire and motivate teammates
Required Qualifications:
- Min. 4 years experience at an advertising agency or client-side with a focus on executing creative work that meet brand goals
- Experience concepting and executing across a variety of mediums, sourcing the ideal creative and production partners to bring your vision to life
- Experience working on holistic marketing campaigns from creation to final delivery
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience working in the sports, fashion, or gaming space
- Awareness of & interest in the esports & gaming space as a rising cultural force
- Experience managing 360 creative marketing campaigns
- Writing craft background & experience a plus
