Introduction:
We are looking for a rock-star Marketing Associate who is driven, organized, and passionate about marketing. This position is based in Beijing. You will be a key member who will work closely with the local Marketing & BD Team and the Global Marketing team to help raise AppLovin’s brand awareness through various core marketing activities in China. You will support multiple marketing events & swags management, website management, content creation, translation, and etc. which will help our local clients better understand our technology’s value and impact on their businesses, and to grow our presence. By partnering with key stakeholders like our global event team, content team, communications team, design team, and others, you’ll assist in creating localized event material, content for our website, newsletter, case studies, and other marketing communication opportunities.
A Day in the Life:
- This will be a key role that will work closely with the local Marketing & BD Team and the Global Marketing team to help raise AppLovin’s brand awareness through various core marketing activities in China.
- Help our local clients better understand our technology’s value and impact on their businesses, and to grow our presence.
The Impact You’ll Make:
- Work closely with the APAC Marketing Director and Global Marketing Team on various events in China including industry conferences & tradeshows, workshops, social networking parties, VIP dinners, webinars, internal events, etc.
- Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to organize, operate, and manage relevant sessions and events (content & agenda planning, confirming partners/speakers, vendors’ management, onsite operations, booth set-up and facilitation, paperwork, logistics, etc.)
- Managing and producing event giveaways, internal staff swags, and customer gifts by working with the US Marketing Manager and the local swag vendors.
- Assist in managing CN content strategy, including event-related content, newsletters, case studies, website content, etc. (translate English content to Chinese and develop original content if necessary).
- Assist APAC Marketing Director in working with press agencies and media partners to conduct media interviews, event speaking sessions, award ceremonies, etc.
- Hello managing the local event tools, video channels, and subscriptions.
- Help monitor competitive intelligence and report trends and untapped opportunities across the Global Marketing Team.
Who You Are:
- 4+ years of marketing experience, especially with a focus on event marketing.
- Fluent in Mandarin and proficient in oral and written English.
- Proven experience in organizing and managing events, preferably in the mobile tech or game industries (past event samples are highly encouraged).
- Open to business travels not only in China but to overseas destinations.
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines with strong communication and organizational skills. Strong work ethic, positive attitude, multitasking ability, and attention to detail.
- Basic understanding of ad tech and programmatic advertising ecosystem.
- BA degree in Marketing/PR or equivalent.
- Great interpersonal skills and outgoing personality.
Additional Strengths:
- Tech-savvy; proficiency with Google Suite, WordPress, HubSpot (or equivalent), and other project management tools like Asana and webinar tools like Zoom.
- Familiar with WeChat marketing, and digital marketing.
