What You Will be Working On as a Marketing Analyst
We are looking for a skilled and passionate Marketing Analyst to join us at Team17 and work across a multitude of diverse videogames. The person will report into the Head of Marketing, collaborating heavily with the data analysis team, finance, game scouting, marketing managers and sales.
Critical to the role is a passion for providing market and player insights to address key strategic and tactical questions around establishing audiences, informing marketing campaigns and audience understanding. This is an opportunity to feed into the very fundamentals of what games we choose to sign and how the market changes affect current projects.
We want this person to provide data which is easy to digest and can work with brand to inform the wider marketing strategy.
Your Day-To-Day
- Strategic analysis to identify trends and evaluate opportunities for growth through analysis of a variety of data sources. Proactively drive recommendations to better satisfy player/market needs.
- Collaborating with internal teams to establish and meet ongoing player and business needs
- Responsible for tracking, reporting, and analysing the performance of marketing activities delivering regular reports to key stakeholders within the business.
- Working with brand to help set key marketing KPI’s and being a key role in the washup assessing whether the goals have been achieved
- Perform deep dives into specific game features to understand the impact on players
- Keeping teams aware and informed of potential region-specific challenges and trends giving teams the ability to adapt campaigns as and when required
- To provide in-depth guidance and support for a diverse, complex range of queries/requests and promote good practice in the use of data
- Managing and servicing data requests putting in place a process used by teams across the business to be adhered to, so all data needs are met
- Actively seek out data partners we could potentially work with to gain more insightful outcomes
What You’ll Need
- Knowledge and experience in data analysis and delivering data in a presentable and digestible way
- Advanced knowledge of data sources for videogames and the gaming sector
- Ability to work autonomously and also collaboratively with different teams
- Experience of planning and managing market research projects from briefing to the delivery of insights.
- Experience of developing and carrying out market and product analysis independently that supports key areas of portfolio development and strategic priorities
- Proficient in Microsoft software e.g., PowerBI, Excel
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to multitask
- Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail
- Experience working with analytics, steam spy, Newzoo, steam D

- Stage 1 (60 minutes) – An initial 60 minute video meeting with our Finance Director and a member of our Brand Marketing team to explore your experience and discuss the role in greater detail.
- Stage 2 (60 minutes) – A final interview with our Finance Director and Global Marketing Director. This will be a technical interview covering some situational-based questions along with understanding your future aspirations.

The interview process for the Marketing Analyst role is made up of 2 stages:
- Stage 1 (60 minutes) – An initial 60 minute video meeting with our Finance Director and a member of our Brand Marketing team to explore your experience and discuss the role in greater detail.
- Stage 2 (60 minutes) – A final interview with our Finance Director and Global Marketing Director. This will be a technical interview covering some situational-based questions along with understanding your future aspirations.
To allow you to prepare as best as possible for your interview, we will provide you with a selection of core questions that the team will ask.
