Senior Marketing Analyst

The Bungie analytics team is looking for a Senior Marketing Analyst to partner with our user acquisition and marketing groups. In this role, you will conduct analysis that empowers our UA and marketing teams to design and optimize efficient, data-informed marketing campaigns and CRM activities. You will work hand-in-hand with our Director of User Acquisition to provide rapid, actionable insights in a fast-paced, live service environment.
Prepare to go beyond simple Cost of Acquisition:Lifetime Value ratios to evaluate campaigns. Success in this role will require creativity and experimentation. You will work with ambiguous data sets to deliver impartial, statistically sound insights. Your work will be essential to informing and refining our acquisition strategy.
During these uncertain times and rapidly changing environment surrounding COVID-19, all positions at Bungie are subject to onboarding and working virtually/remotely. Once the studio is fully reopened, most work is expected to be performed in-person at our main headquarters in Bellevue, Washington.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Design and implement analytics frameworks to measure and report out the ROI of paid media campaigns
- Generate and synthesize insights across multiple data sources to create tactical and strategic recommendations to improve marketing effectiveness
- Design and build dashboards to monitor marketing performance and quickly identify opportunities and changes in performance
- Set benchmarks for future campaigns
- Design A/B tests and evaluate their results
- Prepare and present reports and slides that clearly communicate user acquisition and CRM performance to marketers and the publishing leadership team
REQUIRED SKILLS
- Experience delivering operational reporting and analysis for a marketing, user acquisition, sales, or product management group
- Intermediate SQL skills
- Experience with a statistical programming language (Python or R)
- Ability to create clear data visualizations for diverse stakeholders
- Solid knowledge of summary statistics, distribution analysis, and significance testing
- Ability to build forecasts and basic scenario models
- Classroom and/or practical experience in predictive analytics and model building
- Ability to effectively communicate technical insights to a non-technical audience
NICE-TO-HAVE SKILLS
- Experience in a fast-paced, live service environment
- Experience collaborating with data engineers to create data tables that simplify your workflow and ensure quality
- Knowledge of common UA channels, measurement frameworks, and execution best practices
- Advanced skills with a data visualization software package, Tableau preferred
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, statistics, mathematics, business, or related field
