Marketing 3D animator

Star Stable Entertainment is seeking a 3D Animator to join the Marketing team! This is an exciting opportunity to join a new role in a growing and changing organization. The 3D Animator will conceptualise and create story-driven animated videos and content with a focus on driving new users into the game (user acquisition). You’ll work alongside a team of video artists, and collaborate with UA, marketing creatives and game teams. Does this sound like a journey you want to join?

Key Responsibilities

• Ability to handle full creation process from concept through to layout, animation, lighting and rendering as well as editing
• Ensure content fits specs and best practices for a variety of platforms
• Use our extensive library of game assets and animations to build compelling video ads for user acquisition
• Work primarily with existing animations in the game, combining with your own animations to create stories and content
• Collaborate with game development teams (tech animation, tools, narrative) to ensure pipeline of marketing content fits with planned game releases

Your skills

• Deep understanding of animation fundamentals with an ability to adapt to different art styles
• Experience of animating both human and animal creatures and characters - horses is a big plus
• Strong observational skills coupled with a strong understanding of weight distribution and pacing/timing
• Significant experience in production of key-framed character animation for both humans and creatures
• Ability to handle full creation process from concept through to layout, animation, lighting and rendering as well as editing
• Accomplished knowledge of current animation techniques and 3rd party animation software (Maya, most importantly, but other packages like Animbot are useful to know)
• Knowledge in Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop and Illustrator
• Open to sharing knowledge and supporting your co-workers to develop their skills in the craft
• Good communication skills and experience working in a team environment

• A resourceful problem solver, capable of working independently and also collaboratively by involving stakeholders where needed to reach the goal
• Nice to have: You keep up with trends in mobile marketing and understand UA data and best practices to translate them into effective content
• Nice to have: Experience creating and producing effective User Acquisition videos
