SUMMARY OF POSITION:
The Market Research Coordinator is responsible for supporting market research activities around game production. This includes assisting the team with live services coordination and data-driven analytics to support strategies and execution of assigned game service.
Currently, all Nexon staff are working remotely. Hybrid work model will be in place once we resume on-site operations currently scheduled for May 2, 2022.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Assist the VP, Game Production with market research on game monetization. This includes:
- Coordinate user research activities for current and upcoming projects
- Plan and conduct studies to learn user preferences, behaviors, and provide feedback in collaboration with internal and external stakeholders
- Adapt different qualitative and quantitative research practices and methods to meet team needs
- Monitor game industry trends
- Research and gather information from external sources that could have positive and/or negative effect on the game; coordinate information around the game as needed by internal and external parties
- Preparation of research materials into understandable tables, graphs, and written reports
- Perform other administrative duties as assigned, which includes coordinating playtests as requested by HQ and Dev teams.
Work Experience
- 1+ years of experience with research or in the game industry
Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
Knowledge/Skills
- Interest and understanding of gaming trends and news
- Familiarity with design, game development, and design principles in the gaming industry is highly desirable
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Good problem solving and presentation skills
- Good collaboration skills with the team and a positive attitude under a fast-paced environment
- Adequate knowledge of data collection methods (polls, focus groups, surveys, etc.)
- Dedicated, self-motivated, and dependable
- Demonstrably detail-oriented
- Good analytical and critical thinking
- Bilingual in Korean is a plus
