About the role
As our Warehouse Operations Manager,you will be responsible for the logistics and hardware provisioning required for a successful deployment of our virtual reality based immersive learning platform to customers. The ideal candidate has extensive experience with large-scale logistics and provisioning of complex devices. You will be responsible for optimizing inventory management and demand planning, managing the supply chain and logistics of orders, receiving and shipping. In this role, you will collaborate with multiple stakeholders across the organization. You will build and manage a successful team that understands and executes on the vital role warehouse operations play in the growth of Strivr. This position will be expected to be on-site at our warehouse in Santa Clara.
Your responsibilities
- Ensure products and supply stocks are distributed and received in an efficient manner in an effort to eliminate shortages, downtime, delays, and impacts to customer commitments.
- Be hands-on in working along with the team to provision, pack, and ship from our warehouse
- Manage a team, including hiring, onboarding, meeting with team members periodically to provide constructive feedback, and delivering performance evaluations
- Partner with our Sales, Customer, Engineering, Accounting, Product, Finance, Legal and Support teams in warehouse operations planning and execution to meet company objectives
- Build, evaluate, and adjust processes used to efficiently deliver our product on time, every time
- Plan and oversee inventory audits (monthly, quarterly, and yearly) and ensure S&OP data is thorough with all dependencies included
- Execute and manage vendor contracts. Negotiate pricing and shipping logistics, track quality of deliverables, and address issues effectively and efficiently
- Manage partnership with 3PL companies to delegate parts of the provisioning process required for the successful deployment of hardware
Minimum Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in warehouse operations, logistics, and inventory management
- 5+ years of experience
- with the mass deployment of complex and custom devices
- supervising and coaching an operations team
- sourcing, qualifying, and managing hardware and logistics vendors and partners
- Excellent leadership skills, including communication, change management, coaching, team facilitation, and strong/proven analytical problem-solving abilities
- Strong skills with Salesforce, ERP, and WMS systems (NetSuite a plus)
- Strong organization and coordination skills with the ability to get things done in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications
- SaaS industry experience preferred
- Knowledge of Virtual Reality hardware preferred
- Experience working in an often ambiguous start-up environment
