Manager, UX/UI

The UX/UI Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of UX/UI team. This role will oversee the UX design and usability for various first party games and entertainment products. The manager will define and implement design processes, best practices, and leverage best-in-class industry standards to deliver high quality experiences that engage and delight Pokémon fans around the world.
What You’ll Do
- Manage, mentor, and inspire a team of artists by providing clear direction and vision.
- Conduct frequent design, documentation and build reviews with a range of stakeholders within the Studio and be able to articulate and contend with design decisions on behalf of the UI team.
- Establish, adopt, and maintain effective processes to produce cohesive and coherent product experiences.
- Develop wireframes, mockups, and prototypes to effectively conceptualize and communicate user interactions, behaviors, and feedback.
- Manage the team’s workload, prioritize tasks, and support sprint deliverables to meet project deadlines and milestones.
- Foster a culture of team collaboration, open communication, mutual respect, and high morale.
What You’ll Bring
- 8+ years of UX/UI experience in the video game industry with at least 2 years in a management role.
- Professional Unity experience with a thorough understanding of the engine’s UI framework.
- Robust knowledge of mobile and PC/Desktop platform development.
- Exceptional project management skills using industry tools such as Confluence, JIRA and Source Control applications.
- Strong fundamental design skills with a working knowledge of industry standard tools such as Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, ProtoPie or equivalent.
