Manager, LATAM Supply Chain Operations

Sony PlayStation has an exciting opportunity for an experienced manager of supply chain operations, with a focus on Latin America. This role will focus on; New Product Introduction, Trade Compliance, Vendor Management, Product Safety & Compliance, Software Production and Product Service & Support. You are an authority at working with cross-functional teams, as in this role you'll collaborate closely with internal and external teams including; marketing, sales, business development, product safety and of course the supply chain organization.
You'll ensure that the most exciting new offerings from PlayStation are brought to market with efficiency, quality and cost-effectiveness. Responsibilities:
New Product Introduction (NPI)
- Create, Lead, and Track Milestones for LATAM HW/SW/Bundles/Peripherals/Collector’s Editions that are green lit
- Coordinate with Supply Chain Planning & Procurement to ensure components supply upcoming launches
- Create and run part numbers and bill of materials for Peripherals/Bundles/Collector’s Editions
- Lead the creation, approval and distribution of Process documents for Products pack-out across the LATAM Region
Trade Compliance
- Review LATAM Region product packaging for trade compliance
- Review Packaging first articles and Product first articles for bundles built in-country
- Work with Creative Services to build label artwork or insert artwork as required
- Run the FCC and FDA overall compliance plans per product for the LATAM Region to ensure a smooth product implementation
Product Safety and Compliance (PS&C)
- Coordinate with Product Safety & Compliance business unit (PS&C) on product compliance
- Communicate with local warehouses on product build - packaging/BOM/process documents
- Correspond with PS&C on the schedule with production and shipping schedules
- Run, control and audit the Power Cords Exchange Process (digital and physical) in the applicable countries and warehouses
Software Production
- Create, handle and track milestones for LATAM software launches - Identify product needs per country and coordinate with planning to ensure on time delivery
- Work with Logistics to ship components for the different builds
- Work with Brazil software manufacturing on packaging, process docs and BOM for special builds
Product Service and Support
- Collaborate with LATAM regional warranty team to support the different needs.
- Assist with monitoring LATAM licensed products and accessories
- Assist with in country product support for Customer Service as part of the New Product Introduction adding the CS volume needs to the forward logistics and distribution
Warehouse Ops
- Lead the LATAM Regional Warehouses being the main point of contact between Operations and the SIE warehouse network
- Define and track important metrics among the LATAM Regional Warehouses to measure performance and maintain a continuous improvement mentality
- Provide strategic and tactical guidance to LATAM Regional Operations
- Work with IDD and Creative Services to create and maintain Spanish templates (LATAM Region) and Portuguese (Brazil) packaging templates
- Process improvements for new product introduction, product compliance/trade compliance, and artwork review/approval with IDD and partners
- Program Manage 1st and 3rd Party opportunities for LATAM Region
- Work with LATAM finance to implement process for transactions and audit procedures according to the best business practices
Required Skills:
- Must be bilingual in English and Spanish at a business level; trilingual in Portuguese is a big plus!
- BA/BS in Business/Industrial Engineering/Materials Management or equivalent field plus 7+ years Program Management or Materials Management experience
- At least 5 years' experience in the Latin America Market
- Broad base knowledge in Project and Program Management with a special focus on consumer electronics and components
- Strong negotiation and influencing skills
- Broad knowledge of the LATAM region, products flow and logistics
- Understands business planning processes
- Ability to work with minimal supervision
- Computer savvy in MS Word, Excel Power Point, etc.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Demonstrated experience working closely with Product Marketing in transferring product from business development to production
- Experience with high volume and quick ramp of new products
- Ability to travel to and within the LATAM region, approximately 30% travel is required
Preferred Experience / Education:
- SAP experience
- MBA or PM Certification
