Manager, Public Relations

Job Description

We are looking for a Public Relations Manager to help drive and manage our PR and communications strategy both internally and externally. Externally, core focus areas include PR and communications across enterprise segments, healthcare, the public sector and developers. The role will build strong relationships with key audiences across Magic Leap’s digital footprint and offline events. The ideal candidate will have a proven record of success developing, managing and executing PR & communication strategy within the technology space while building and establishing relationships with key agencies. The role requires someone who has experience supporting and helping to guide multi-disciplinary experts, with oversight across communications, social media, media relations, partner communications and internal communications.

Responsibilities

• Craft a compelling narrative to influence stakeholders internally and externally
• Craft resonant PR and communication strategies, by vertical, across target audiences and segments
• Support global, regional, and national media campaigns that generate significant coverage across company milestones, launches, and developments
• Manage Social Media accounts on behalf of Magic Leap (prior social media experience is a must)
• Design and drive purposeful and strategic communications and marketing campaigns
• Manage multiple agencies with a specific focus on a global, integrated PR and communications strategy
• Establish and uphold communications guidelines internally at Magic Leap and externally with partners
• Collaborate with key partners and internal teams to effectively execute activations
• Support agency selection process, onboarding and day-to-day campaign briefing and management
• Leverage digital tools for analytics, reporting and overall performance metrics across PR, communications and social media activities
• Work closely with the product, content and engineering teams, as well as other internal stakeholders to refine messaging
• Support internal communications needs
• Provide oversight across digital awareness and engagement campaigns
• Identify opportunistic and experimental digital brand and awareness collaborations
• Interface with PR agencies and support creation of public relations strategy that will allow Magic Leap and its leadership to cultivate and enhance meaningful relationships with targeted, external audiences, including media and key influencers

Qualifications

• 7+ years experience as a strategic leader in marketing, PR and communications
• Track record of creating and implementing marketing, PR communications strategies
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Experience managing agency relationships
• Experience across social media tools (Instagram, Twitter, Facebook, Youtube, etc.)
• AR/VR experience (preferred)

Requirements

• BA/BS Bachelor's Degree in Marketing/Communications or related field
• MA/MS Master's Degree (preferred)
