Objectives of this Role
- Oversee strategic business initiatives from development through successful execution under the guidance of Commercial Leaders
- Improve current processes and coordinate organizational procedures for optimized efficiency and productivity
- Assist and communicate with Commercial Leaders in decision-making, program management, and initiative implementation
- Support Commercial Leaders ensuring they are able to maximize their time by focusing on the most pressing business needs and taking the lead (where appropriate) to pull less urgent initiatives off their plates and seeing these projects through completion
Responsibilities
- Project Management:
- Serve as a lead for, and manager of, multiple projects
- Lead cross functional projects across the Commercial Org, working with tight deadlines
- Project management: establish objectives, determine priorities, manage time, gain the cooperation of others, monitor progress, problem-solve, make adjustments to plans
- Plan and manage on-site and off-site meetings, conferences and events from pre-production stage through completion including managing budgets and conducting post-mortems
- Executive Support:
- Maintain executives' schedule, strategically understanding how and where their time should best be spent based on initiatives
- Prioritize conflicting needs from multiple executives and their orgs-identify and reorganize priorities based on overall business needs
- Prep executives for their meetings with detailed briefs, agendas and intended outcomes
- Attend executive meetings with or on behalf of executive, and manage action items across the teams
- Commercial Org Support:
- Manage third-party vendor relationships and communications
- Manage Commercial Org administrative staff
- Write well thought out communications and correspondence on behalf of executive to internal and external stakeholders
- Manage team budgets
- Maintain an extreme level of discretion and manage highly sensitive company information
- Serve as liaison between the team and the leaders, regarding company climate, employee well-being, project updates, proposals, and planning
- Assist the human resources department with new hires, including documentation and onboarding, and collaborate to address and resolve all employee concerns
- Build and develop relationships with all employees for increased efficiency and effective responsiveness into existing operations, and help to define new operational strategies, working with Commercial Leaders on special projects
- Support Leaders with retaining top talent, bringing awareness to points of concern within the team, and addressing issues proactively to ensure a healthy and thriving team
