Blizzard Entertainment is seeking a highly skilled, strategically minded, collaborative, and impeccably organized Manager, Production Finance to support the financial management of Blizzard’s epic live experience, BlizzCon.
This Manager, Production Finance role is responsible for supervising, managing, and reporting on the BlizzCon budget and providing strategic decision-making support to BlizzCon leadership and partners. The ideal candidate will understand cost management, contract management, and live experience activations. This individual excels at collaboration and managing several stakeholders, internal and external. This role will support the build and tracking of the BlizzCon budget; enabling transparency and visibility of costs to leadership.
Production Finance Responsibilities :
- Drive key finance processes within the organization, including building, manage, and analyzing highly complex activations’ budgets spanning 30+ internal departments and 300+ external partners, ensuring all expenditures support or further the goals of BlizzCon
- Accountable for quarterly reviews, operational task management processes
- Collaborate with various stakeholders to ensure overhead costs are properly funded, allocated properly and on budget
- Analyze costs by area (variable, fixed, and sunk costs) and provide context on risks and opportunities to the Executive Producer, enabling strategic decision making
- Oversee, consolidate, and manage the financial planning and analysis (FP&A) functions including AOP, forecasts, multi-year strategic plans, variance analysis, and preparation of executive review materials for the organization
- Provide support on-site during the actual show and report on real-time costs; managing the risk reserve and providing constant updates to leadership
- Lead the reconciliation process, ensuring all vendors are paid on time and POs are closed before year end
Requirements :
- 5+ years of experience in contract managements/live event and business ops
- Understanding of Broadcast, Events, or Production needs and challenges (internal and external)
- Experience in corporate events and corporate RFP, contracts, negotiation, and budgeting
- Impeccable organizational, prioritization, and time-management abilities
- Expert abilities in Microsoft Suite
