Manager, Product Management (Information Technology)

As a Manager, Product Management you will report to a Senior Manager, Product Management. You will join a technical team developing software and integrating Information Technology platforms at Riot Games. This will be a mixed portfolio of custom applications and commercial off the shelf solutions from the market. Riot Games is looking for a experienced Manager, Product Management to join the Enterprise Products team. You will lead a team of product managers to develop and manage a portfolio of asynchronous work experience products, aimed at making it easy and enjoyable for employees to access high-quality information and focus on generating player value. You will play a crucial role in ensuring Riot employees have the best possible products and experiences to continue driving innovation. You will also be in charge and serve as the manager for the other Product Managers within IT. You will guide the team through a progression that is tailor fitted for the Enterprise Technology department to be successful. You will be the craft expert and responsible for the development and career planning of other Product Managers.

Responsibilities include creating an ecosystem of tools and defining the future of work experiences, collaborating with other departments to standardize work norms and identify best practices, and driving the entire product life cycle from ideation to launch. You are passionate about innovation, has an eye for detail, and is able to scale both the culture and the products at Riot Games.

Responsibilities:

• As a Product Manager at Riot you will be a vision holder for your team, collaborating with production, development, design and operations to build new products and services, processes and growth plans all in continuous alignment with a vision and strategic roadmap
• You will serve as the craft lead for the Product Management team and mentoring the folks on the team. You will need to set the goals for the team that best serve the department.
• You will drive better experience through disciplined analytics and experimentation with measurable goals
• You will promote the vision and purpose of ‘WHY’ for existing products
• You will develop a deep understanding of customer needs and trends in the digital workplace domain to anticipate future shifts and incorporate them into long-term product design.
• Navigate complex system integrations and be able to articulate "build vs. buy vs. partner" decisions.
• Integrate usability studies, research and market analysis into product requirements to enhance user satisfaction.
• Maximize efficiency in a constantly evolving environment where the process is fluid and creative solutions are the norm.
• Define and analyze metrics that inform the success of individual products and the product area.
• Partner with product managers in game studios, business leaders, UX designers, legal, international, vendors, and Riot Operations to build a industry leading digital workplace experience
• Discuss technical trade-offs with engineers, communicate platform limitations with IT team members and partners
• Help us brainstorm technical and product strategy in collaborative development meetings as representative of Information Technology
• Build a creative environment, serve as custodian of team health, and cultivate a culture of success
• Support forecasting, budgeting, and department level strategy as a member of the IT leadership team

Required Qualifications:

• 7+ years of product management experience
• Experience working and influencing cross-functional teams and building relationships across the company, including with senior executives and people outside of the direct reporting chain.
• Experience in hiring and growing teams of product managers.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or technical discipline.
• Experience working with diverse software engineering teams and product portfolios
• Excellent English language skills: you are comfortable communicating with large audiences and excel at writing in-depth application how-tos, documenting standard operating procedures, and producing user-facing documentation

Desired Qualifications:

• 5+ years people management experience
• Experience building consumer or enterprise software at scale
• Experience working with web technology (React, Python, Typescript, Postgres, AWS)
• Experience in collaboration, content management or content creation products.
• Experience in hiring and managing multidisciplinary teams
• Experience in managing the enterprise system and corporate data problem space (JIRA, Workday, Confluence, Notion, AWS Event Bridge)
• Experience with Amazon Web Services, operations, software and infrastructure design and management
• Excellent ability to deep-dive data, create insights, identify business opportunities and realize them

(Los Angeles only) Base salary range between $151,000 USD - $211,000 USD + incentive compensation + equity + 401K with company match + medical, dental, vision, and life insurance + short and long-term disability + open PTO.
