SUMMARY OF POSITION:

In this role, the Manager, Market Research is responsible for managing and providing support to all aspects of gaming industry-related market research, including qualitative and quantitative methods. This includes defining project goals, providing direction for the Market Research Coordinator, and reviewing reports for market segment research.

We are currently working in the office 2-3x a week in a hybrid work model.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Conduct market research studies for the technology and gaming industry, including but not limited to brand studies, market trends, benchmarking of competitors, etc.
• Translate research data into actionable insights and recommendations through reports and presentations
• Serve as a trusted expert in relevant trends impacting key clients, staying abreast of product, service, and competitive developments
• Provide support to Nexon Korea and other affiliated studios for market research as requested and as needed
• Manages the execution of assigned research projects and other duties as assigned

Work Experience

• At least 7 years of experience in the market research industry, preferably related to gaming
• At least 2 years of managerial experience

Education, Professional Training, Technical Training or Certification

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience

Knowledge/Skills

• Experience working with international entities
• Strong interest and understanding of gaming trends and news
• Strong quantitative, analytical, and critical thinking skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities
• Excellent problem-solving and presentation skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (i.e., PowerPoint, Excel, and Word)
• Bilingual in English and Korean, highly preferred

Compensation Description for Pay Transparency (annually)

The base salary range for this position in El Segundo, CA is $116,000 - $174,000 annually.

Our salary ranges are determined by market data based on position and level. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum salaries for that position. An individual’s pay is determined by factors including, but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, experiences, relevant education or training, and location.

Base pay is one part of the Total Rewards package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role may be eligible for additional discretionary bonuses/incentives, however the salary range listed in this job posting reflects the base salary only.
