- Job Summary: Provides leadership, direction, and oversight of a team of editors who review, proofread, edit, and rewrite media content copy.

What You Will Do
In this role, you will collaborate with fellow managers of the English Video Game Localization Editing team and other stakeholders to facilitate the work of a group of editors, ensuring on-time deliveries, the highest quality standards, and well-informed, proactive team members. In addition to carrying out the responsibilities of an English editor, you will perform managerial duties such as project and people management, including hiring, training, performance evaluation, and other duties as assigned.
- Work closely with other English Video Game Localization Editing Managers to maintain quality standards by analyzing and resolving issues, developing and enhancing processes, and providing input regarding future requirements
- Coach staff by communicating job expectations, appraising task results, encouraging avenues of personal growth, and providing feedback for improvement
- Edit, proof, and review a variety of materials, such as templates, style guides, brand- and product-related text, press releases and other marketing materials, and more
- Plan and evaluate team activities, including one-on-ones with your direct reports
- Assist in recruiting and training additional staff
- Make regular progress updates; discuss issues and schedules at manager level
- Substitute for other English Video Game Localization Editing Managers whenever necessary
- Provide regular progress reports and updates to in-house management and stakeholders

What You Will Bring
- Leadership experience; 4+ years of video game editing experience, 1+ year of people and project management experience
- Excellent communication and project management skills, including skilled listening, notable levels of diplomacy, and the proven ability to manage multiple simultaneous projects
- Comprehensive knowledge of The Chicago Manual of Style
- Aptitude for teamwork, supported by experience working with a team of editors and localization professionals
- Experience with MS Word and Excel; able to pick up new tools quickly
- Adaptive skills for working in an environment with tight deadlines and shifting schedules
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience
- Knowledge of the Pokémon product line a strong plus; wide awareness of the field of video games and apps a plus

- Base salary range: For this role, new hires generally start between $109,000.00 - $129,200.00. Full Range: $109,000.00 - $163,000.00. This range is applicable for the labor market where the role is intended to be hired. Final base salary is directly related to each candidates' qualifications and experience uniquely.
