MANAGER, INVESTMENTS & LABEL STRATEGY
Who We Are:
2K develops and publishes interactive entertainment globally for console systems, handheld gaming devices, and personal computers including smartphones and tablets. We are a leading publisher of today’s most popular gaming genres and most well-known for critically acclaimed game franchises like NBA 2K, WWE 2K, Bioshock, Borderlands, Evolve, XCOM and the beloved Sid Meier’s Civilization.
What We Need:
We are looking for a passionate and self-motivated individual to work closely with 2K’s business development and operations teams to provide analysis and recommendations around new business development, M&A, and commercial activities. They will seek out and then distills large amounts of data into clear, actionable frameworks to convey plans and make recommendations to senior leadership.
What You Will Do:
- Collaborates with 2K’s President, COO, and Director of Investments & Corporate Strategy to formulate and execute on 2K’s growth strategy
- Performs and then communicates rigorous quantitative and qualitative assessments to help inform significant strategic and operating decisions across the business
- Translates complex analytical data into presentations that can be understood and acted upon by stakeholders
- Creates and updates financial models that will support the assessment and valuation of potential acquisitions and investment targets
- Conducts research on the industry, market trends, and competitors to remain abreast of and communicate developments that could affect our strategy; recommends strategy shifts and identifies emerging opportunities
- Manages and conducts financial analysis, due diligence, and legal review of potential new business opportunities for the organization
- Formulates and presents investment and negotiation rationales for proposed acquisitions to leadership and other internal stakeholders
- Coordinates transaction execution with internal teams (e.g., Executive, Finance, Accounting, HR, Legal, and Tax) and external advisors (e.g., counsel, bankers, etc.).
Who We Think Will Be a Great Fit:
- 3 - 5 years in investment banking, private equity, strategy consulting, and/or corporate strategy or corporate development experience
- Strong track record of carefully screening, analyzing, and closing successful acquisitions and partnerships
- Experience working in a cross-functional team comprised of corporate groups and external advisors to execute a strategic vision, acquisitions, and investments
- Skill in creating analytical frameworks and other decision-making tools to approach and solve strategic business problems
- Demonstrated passion and understanding of the broad digital media landscape, with an emphasis on interactive entertainment
- Expertise in building financial/operating models and a thorough understanding of valuation methodologies (DCF, Precedent Transactions, Public Trading Comparables, SOTP, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal skills and proactive ability to maintain relationships and influence/persuade others
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to effectively communicate with people at all levels and from various backgrounds
