Your Mission
As a member of the Internal Communications team at ABK, the Manager, Internal Communication for Activision Blizzard is part of a global function whose priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Develop compelling content that explains our strategy and helps every employee understand their role in our mission
- Align our people around our culture, values and business goals, so they can deliver for our players and feel like this is the best place to have an epic career
- Champion our purpose of serving players and promote pride within the organization
- Ensuring the timely communication of news and information to employees, including a central source
- Continuously evolving and maintaining IC tools, processes (central editorial calendar), and channels (employee intranet, newsletter)
- Facilitating a trusted, two-way dialogue between executives and employees
- Driving awareness of and participation in major initiatives tied to workplace satisfaction (Culture, DE&I, CSR)
- Partnering with Corporate Functions leaders (Finance, IT, Marketing, Legal) for internal communications needs
- Communication corporate program/policy changes and initiatives to employees
- Helping to manage Issues & Crisis Communications as required
- Maintaining a global dashboard on the overall effectiveness of IC and employee engagement across the enterprise and within BUs and Geos
- Managing the day-to-day internal communications program, including content development, scheduling, and publication across all internal communications channels.
- Maintaining an editorial calendar in partnership with the broader communications team, ensuring that the content and presentation are consistent with key priorities.
- Crafting end-to-end communications plans for internal announcements and relevant news and events.
- Coordinating company-wide announcements with partners across our studios and business units as needed to ensure consistent messaging.
- Partnering with internal clients to develop communication solutions for business challenges, making sure communication objectives are being met in a timely, consistent way.
- Collaborating with the editorial content and social teams to craft timely, relevant stories that highlight our employees and workplace.
- Providing direction and management for ongoing, regularly scheduled communications.
Player Profile
Minimum Requirements:
- 4+ years’ proven experience in a communications role, preferably internal communications
- Excellent multi-tasking skills, able to set own priorities, and work under strick timelines
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; including editing and copywriting
- An interest in storytelling, with the ability to turn sophisticated information into engaging content
- Strong project management skills
- Ability to adjust and move forward in ambiguous situations
- Adaptable and humble, willing to tackle projects big and small
- Ability to work toward the big picture, while still focusing on the details
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, marketing, English or relevant field
Extra Points:
- Experience with communication tools like email platforms, Slack and company intranets.
- Experience developing content for diverse audiences.
