Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis

Numbers and figures are key. Insomniac Games is looking for a Manager, Financial Planning and Analysis who would be responsible for supporting the studio’s financial performance, including budgeting, forecasting, and key performance indicators (KPI) reporting by working with stakeholders within the studio and throughout Sony Interactive Entertainment (SIE). Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:
- Responsible for expense planning, budgeting, forecasting, and analysis
- Supports the annual budget process and quarterly corporate forecasting process
- Manages studio-specific spend activities with SIE support groups
- Manages monthly studio-level forecasting and reporting activities, including review of expenses against budget, variance explanations, creation of monthly expense forecasts, and entry into the financial planning system.
- Monitors and reports revenue and spend by title
- Works closely with production teams to create project spending plans and to facilitate adherence to these plans
- Maintaining cooperative relationships with SIE support group counterparts and leading by influence
- Proactively involved in ad-hoc and special projects
- Other responsibilities that may be assigned
Education and/or Experience:
- Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or a related field; six to eight years related experience, and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. MBA is desirable.
- Microsoft Office Suite including advanced Excel capabilities,
- Familiarity with SAP or equivalent enterprise resource planning (ERP) software
- Experience with financial planning software
Other Skills: Excellent interpersonal skills to collaborate and communicate with internal, external and corporate stakeholders. Advanced analytical and presentation skills. Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate with all levels of an organization.
