Your Mission
As the Manager, FP&A - Marketing, you will support all strategic planning and forecasting for marketing investments across the global Activision Blizzard portfolio. You will act as a business partner to Marketing leaders and other leadership stakeholders in the development of strategic plans for the business as well as support the Marketing Controller in the development of new analyses and business insights that drive improved decision making. Your focus will include global marketing expense and cash forecasts, budget management, consolidated reporting, strategic financial modeling and technology enhancements. This role plays a central role in the evolution, consolidation and reporting of global marketing spend, as well as helping promote modern thinking and assist in the implementation of technology and efficiency enhancements in collaboration with stakeholders.
Priorities can often change in a fast-paced environment like ours, so this role includes, but is not limited to, the following responsibilities:
- Help lead the global tracking and forecasting of key franchise marketing budgets in partnership with commercial and finance leadership
- Partner with Marketing Controller to drive the annual operating plan / budgeting process – facilitating the creation of objectives and key results and ensuring that targets, budgets and plans cascade down to each organization and team within the function
- Work with Marketing Controller and Analysts on regular monthly and quarterly forecasts, and financial practices, processes, and technology usage to ensure proper financial controls and resource utilization are in place
- Provide financial analysis that evaluates new strategic initiatives for franchises, and provides thoughtful insight into the opportunities to evolve our marketing priorities, investments and organization
- Help implement processes to enhance marketing investment tracking, visibility and streamlined reporting
- Work with marketing controller and marketing organization to evaluate ROI of our on-going marketing initiatives and of building internal capabilities vs external solutions
Player Profile
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 6 years of experience in finance roles; experience in analytics, strategy or finance in digital marketing, technology or entertainment industries. Fortune 500 company preferred
- Strong quantitative research, data analysis and Excel modeling capabilities
- Experience managing budgets and spend for a large marketing organization
- Strong knowledge and management of marketing KPIs
- Mastery of evolving financial systems, tools and technologies to meet the ongoing flexible needs of a fast-moving and evolving industry
- Proven results of maximizing ROI, allocating resources or capital
- Ability to view the business from a broader perspective, integrating finance and business issues to develop insight and solutions that add value to a senior management team beyond finance
- Demonstrated competency in consumer market revenue planning, especially subscription and digital streaming models
- Bachelor’s Degree required. MBA a plus.
