As a Senior Systems Engineer, you'll be part of a growing team passionate about self-service tools and infrastructure, powering the build and test automation on all Unity platforms. We run gaming platforms, mobile phones and a private cloud built upon a mix of opensource and commercial software. You’ll be passionate about hyper scale technology with an appetite for learning and crafting highly usable solutions.
What you’ll be doing
- Lead discussions related to architecture, deployment and operational improvements, from the rack and hardware design up to our virtualisation and storage platforms.
- Working in a distributed team supporting core infrastructure, services and devices and covering oncall for critical issues.
- Management of Assets and Inventory including provisioning and RMA with onsite technical support and troubleshooting when required
- Technical support and troubleshooting, hardware through to the OS
- Monitoring system performance to ensure reliable services
What we’re looking for
- Deep Linux skills and automation - we use Ansible and Go, you might have used something similar
- Curious, pragmatic, thoughtful and user focussed
- Experience of using and extending Open Source software and tooling
- Someone who cares about documentation and how to test what they build
- Ability to easily commute to Slough
You might also have
- Programming skills in Python, Go, Bash or Powershell
- Systems Administration skills in other Operating Systems : Windows, MacOS, Android
- Experience of Mid to Large scale server deployments for critical services
