Manager, Cloud Back-End Engineering

Responsibilities:
- Lead and develop our high-performing engineering team within the Game Streaming department.
- Drive a coherent technology roadmap from stretch goals balancing a focus on long-term ambitious vision with short and medium term work.
- Line management, including one on ones, mentoring, and coaching.
- Coordinate and collaborate across multiple work streams, with other engineering leaders, and product/project managers.
- Bring technical experience and insight to the table and help the team navigate difficult trade-offs and pursue the right opportunities.
- Build an encouraging, nurturing environment for the team with a commitment to individual growth, inclusion, diversity, and well-being of the team members.
Requirements:
- BS in Computer Science or equivalent or relevant work experience.
- 3+ years of proven experience in a leadership role.
- Proven knowledge in working with distributed systems on premise or in hybrid clouds.
Skills & Knowledge:
- Experience in Java/Golang, various datastores, microservices and event driven architecture, and data pipelines.
- Experience with Kubernetes and Cloud Native Infrastructure.
- Experience with Private Cloud and Public Cloud Environments (ideally AWS).
- Experience with the entire software creation process.
- Knowledge of project management tools: JIRA, Confluence, etc.
- Solid understanding of Agile development processes.
