In this role you will partner with global process owners and key functional leaders to provide guidance and drive ownership and understanding of the AppLovin control environment. Engaging with our global teams to identify opportunities for efficiencies and guide business process and system transformation. Engage and manage relationships with our key service providers and auditors. Provide guidance to key stakeholders, manage the growing system and controls environment, and generate tailored solutions to improve our internal business operations.
Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and execution of all phases of SOX Compliance and Internal Audit program, including Risk assessment & Scoping, documentation of Process walkthroughs, identifying controls, testing and reporting results.
- Manage and perform SOX testing, including Information Technology General Controls (ITGCs), Segregation of duties, analyze attestations and audit reports such as 3rd party SSAE reports reviews.
- Assess new processes, or changes to existing processes to identify financial and operational risks before launch, providing recommendations for improvement and advocate for continuous improvement in our system of internal controls.
- Coordinating and working with cross-functional teams within the organization, process owners, outsourcing partners, external auditors to facilitate execution of SOX and Internal Audit procedures.
- Prepare reports and presentations for management, executive management and Audit Committee on SOX updates.
- Assist with special projects (i.e. process improvements, operational excellence, system implementations, control design)
Requirements
- You have previous 5+ years of proven experience in working in a financial position in a similar industry or with a Big4 company
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in business, accounting, finance, systems or related field.
- Strong understanding of GAAP, SOX, COSO, COBIT financial and/or IT risks and controls, and leading business practices.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or comparable certification
- Proven ability to thrive in a creative, dynamic, fast-paced environment, and work both independently and in a team environment, shifting between the role of an individual contributor, team player, project manager, and strategist
- Ability to manage a distributed workforce (e.g., outsourcing or captive team)
- Strong Project Management skills and the ability to produce timely deliverables and manage multiple and shifting priorities in a dynamic environment
- Ability to work with all levels of employees and cross-functional groups, results-driven with a high level of integrity
- Scale and process-oriented with high attention to detail, accuracy, and follow-through
