On a daily basis you will be responsible configuring and supporting the Hardware during the Install/Conversion Implementation and Hardware Ordering process for the Aristocrat Multi-site Progressive (MSP) system.
- Configuring and verifying network equipment for a successful product implementation
- Troubleshooting network issues encountered at local and remote sites
- Identifying and resolving operational problems and make necessary recommendations and adjustments to minimize downtime and prevent future problems with configuration templates
- Monitor system resource utilization and capacity planning
- Work within established configuration and change management policies to ensure awareness, approval and success of changes made to the network infrastructure
- Resolve problems related to network equipment configuration
- Provides 24-hour support to field technicians and customers
- Responsible for maintaining MSP Equipment operational 24/7
- Works closely with customers during the installation of company products to address problems and provide excellent customer service
- Provides ad-hoc technical training to MSP and Field Service team members on MSP hardware either verbally or by written communication
- Manage the MSP hardware kit ordering process
- Manage and plan the pulling of and configuration of all MSP hardware kits
- Independently configures, prepares, and tests MSP equipment and associated third-party equipment
- Identify and resolve operational problems with MSP configuration templates and processes and make necessary adjustments to minimize install/conversion downtime and prevent future problems
- Reproduces issues in test and lab environment
- Requires availability 24/7 to configure MSP kits to meet install, replacement, and conversion deadlines
- Document and update in-house knowledge database for MSP issues, configuration changes and infrastructure layout
- Other Duties as assigned
What We're Looking For
Education : High School Diploma. Cisco Certified Network Administration (CCNA), or its equivalent, is preferred.
Experience : Requires an understanding of network equipment and protocols. Minimum 2 years in customer support role. Casino operations experience a plus.
Skills, knowledge, and qualifications:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Must be able to work independently and require little direction.
- Must be able to act as team leader and redirect workflow appropriately.
- Proven customer relation skills.
- Must be able to obtain gaming license in all jurisdictions that have MSP products.
- Must have strong analytical, problem identification and problem solving abilities.
- Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.
- Must have strong communication skills, be able to work independently and be team oriented.
- Travel required – 0 - 25%
This position requires registration with the Nevada Gaming Control Board (NGCB) and/or other gaming jurisdictions in which we operate.
Physical, Mental and Environmental Demands:
- Assigned duties are accomplished primarily in an office/production setting. Must be able to maneuver around an office/production setting, work at a desk/work station and respond to written and oral cues.
- Must have the manual dexterity to operate a computer and other necessary office/production equipment.
- May be required to bend, reach and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Must be able to perform after-hours technical support on a rotating basis.
