Job Summary
The Merchandising Sales Planner/ analyst is responsible for setting up reporting processes and analysing the product portfolio for the Merchandising business. Margin levels, profitability, stock levels and net book value, sell through and forecast planning of the various categories. This role will report to the MD Director when in post and work closely with the category managers and eCommerce manager and also the finance team.
Requirements
Key Deliverables:
- Working closely with the MD Director and e commerce manager to set up regular reporting processes and procedures.
- Stock reports – monthly assessment of stock value and quantities.
- Weekly reporting on sell through on the e store or through distribution/ retail.
- Historic assessment of categories and ongoing product lines for profitability and commercial viability.
- Forecasting for new product line orders and assessing the market for relevant SRP’s.
- Budget planning – responsible for the yearly and half yearly planning process and also the monthly QSR reporting process.
Key Stakeholders:
GM – EU c&ps, MD GAS, MD Fr/ ben, EU Merchandising director, MD category managers, eCommerce manager, e store manager, Operations director, EU Sales director, and finance team.
Knowledge and Experience:
Essential
- Used to working in a fast paced, ‘start up’ style environment.
- International business experience.
Desirable
- Experience of working in a Japanese company.

- Highly commercial in orientation.
- Analytical and detail orientated.
- Outstanding reporting and excel skills.
- Strong communication skills.
Desirable
- An additional foreign language, particularly Japanese.
