Long Term Korean into English Gaming Translator (Remote/Freelance Role)

TransPerfect Gaming Solutions is looking for long term freelance Korean into English Gaming translator to join us to provide client support on gaming localization projects in a dynamic and exciting environment. You will be translating the next big hit game from small independent development teams all the way to AAA game titles from industry heavyweights!

Qualifications, Skills & Experience:

• Native level skills in English.
• Passion for games.
• Prior experience in playing games in English for at least 2 years AND still playing games currently.
• Experienced in KO>EN Translation / Localization within Gaming industry.
• Familiar with gaming terminologies.
• Familiar with Adventure, Strategy and Gambling games.
• Attention to detail and the ability to meet deadlines.
• Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
• The ability to work well in a team environment.
• The drive, positive attitude and ability to thrive and deliver in a fast-paced, innovative and creative environment.

Candidates MUST also have any ONE of the following:

• A Degree in Translation, Linguistics, or Language Studies or an equivalent degree that includes significant translation training, from a recognized institution of higher education;
• 2 years of translation experience and a college degree;
• 5 years of translation experience and no college degree; or
• A certificate of competence in translation awarded by an appropriate government body.

IMPORTANT NOTE:

Applicants will be asked to sign a confidentiality agreement and complete a Translation test and a Proofreading test.
