Localization Specialist Turkish [Remote]

We are PUBG: BATTLEGROUNDS, the global battle royale phenomenon! Since the release of our flagship title in 2017 we have become one of the highest selling video games of all time with over 70 million copies sold – that’s a lot of Chicken Dinners!
We are headquartered in Seoul, South Korea and sit within the KRAFTON, Inc. corporation. From our Amsterdam office, we cover Europe, Middle East & Africa, and the CIS region, and have teams dedicated to Product Management, Esports, Content, Communications, Creative, Merchandise, HR and more. We are also creating a new game here, with a growing development team working on a brand-new IP.
As a Localization Specialist with Turkish, you will:
- Translate game-related content (e.g., in-game strings), news articles (e.g. blogs, newsletters) or any other ad-hoc request in a timely fashion
- Perform quality control (i.e., LQA) of content provided by peers or external partners, proofread and edit game-related content, news articles and technical documentation
- Support the Localization Project Manager in the setup and coordination of translation tasks and projects
- Improve the quality of localized content whenever time allows
- Participate in testing and supplying feedback on potential new content and games as and when needed
- Additional responsibilities as assigned
Our Ideal Localization Specialist with Turkish will have:
- Passion for games, Battle Royale in particular
- At least 2 years of experience in localization, linguistics, translation, interpretation, or related experience
- Fluency in Turkish
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel and basic familiarity with project management software (e.g., Jira, Wrike)
- Familiarity with the internally used CAT tool (Crowdin and memoQ)
- Strong collaborative spirit and a service-oriented mindset
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Positive and enthusiastic attitude
- A keen eye for detail
Pluses:
- Previous experience in videogame/entertainment industry
- Basic knowledge and technical skills in image content editing (Adobe Photoshop), HTML, and CMS
Preferred qualifications:
- Copywriting experience
- Other EMEA languages (German, French, Spanish, Russian or Arabic)
