Localization Producer #1083

Contract Length: 12 months, extension possible
Work Location: Work From Home but candidate must be local to the Greater Seattle Area
Work Hours: Fulltime
Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented game localization producer who can help run the localization production process and pipelines needed to deliver amazing localized experiences to their gamers worldwide for the latest release in their AAA Sci-Fi FPS games series.
Responsibilities:
- Proactively champion localization needs and schedules across the studio to ensure teams understand key dates and deliverables to deliver amazing game experiences to players worldwide on time
- Maintain a high quality bar for all localization to ensure players get the best possible game experience while also balancing speed of content creation and localization turnaround
- Understand and manage localization content management system and localization versioning
- Work with partner teams internal and external to the studio to manage the localization pipeline for the game
- Build and maintain localization schedule needs for partner teams and drive awareness and accountability of those schedules and deliverables within the studio
- Build and run internal localization processes related to delivery and integration of incoming localizations and localization bug reporting and fixes
- Coordinate delivery and integration for incoming localization files
- Assist partners within the studio that have localization needs
- Review and oversee localization QA with internal and external partners
During WFH or if remote, the following is required for this type of position:
- Internet speed of at least 500 Mbps or 1 Gbps, wired connection preferred, to ensure work is not impacted by connectivity/latency issues
- Make sure to run and repeat speed tests throughout the day, as it can fluctuate during peak hours
- Candidates must provide a screenshot of their speed test result
- Agency must include speed test screenshot as part of the submission process for consideration
- If candidate does not currently meet the network requirement:
- Candidate is committing to meeting the network requirement by their start date if an offer is received and mutually accepted
- Internet upgrade reimbursement eligibility criteria and guidelines are available

Requirements
- Experience shipping games:
- You have 4+ years of experience in game development and shipped at least 1 AAA title on current gen in a production or related role
- You also have previous localization experience
- Experience with content management systems:
- You have previous experience with content management systems and versioning controls best practices
- Experience creating team processes:
- You should have advanced experience developing and running project management processes for a team
- You have built detailed workback schedules managing multiple dependencies across different disciplines
- Ability to Manage Ambiguity:
- There is no instruction manual on how to be a great Producer
- You use your instincts, experiences, and team to identify, assess, and solve problems quickly and frequently
- It is the Producer’s responsibility to take ambiguous problems and develop concise action plans for the team to resolve them
- Strong Cross-Team Communication Skills:
- You can work with creatives (e.g. artists and game designers), technical people (e.g. programmers), and non-technical people (e.g. PR and Marketing) alike
- When conflicts occur, you bring people together, you listen, you mitigate, and you resolve
- Exceptional Project Management and Organization Skills:
- You are detailed and organized
- You never let anything fall through the cracks
- You are clear, concise, and specific
- When you participate in a meeting, you clarify, capture and follow up on all action items
Bonus
- Proficiency with Visual Studio Team Services, or similar bug database
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software – Outlook, Excel, and Project
- Proficiency with Agile methodology for software development and related software
