Job Description

Mission:

The Localization Manager is primarily responsible for the excellent quality of the Localization of Ubisoft games in Simplified Chinese, as well as the localization coordination of the games made in Ubisoft China in other languages. In this mission, this person collaborates with projects stakeholders, localization team members and external partners to guarantee the best experience for our Chinese players.

What you will do:

Localization of Ubisoft games in Simplified Chinese for Worldwide release

- Manage the network of external partners and supports projects in the selection process.

- Be the guardian of the quality delivered by our external partners, with the support of our internal team

- Facilitate the administrative topics between the external partner and the project lead studio

Localization of Ubisoft games to the China market

- Define and document the process for Ubisoft games to go through the localization process for China release

- Accompany government approval version’s projects throughout their localization journey

Coordination of Localization to multiple languages for Games developed in Ubisoft China

- Support production teams in the definition of the project expectations, localization timelines and budgets.

- Collaborate with global localization group to continuously improve Ubisoft localization process

- Manage multiple, high complexity projects in parallel and be the main the main of contact to support your worldwide partners.

Grow your team:

- Mentor your reports to ensure their growth as individuals and fulfillment of their potential as well as acting clearly to identify areas where support is needed

- Work with Production, HR and Project Leads to ensure relevant recruitment needs are clear and fulfilled at all time.

Qualifications

What you should be equipped with:

- solid knowledge in Language Studies or Localization

- Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills

- solid experience with localization projects in game industry, AAA experience is a plus

- Good knowledge of project management methods and tools (Jira...); Proficiency in CAT tools (MemoQ)

- In-depth knowledge of game industry localization process and potential bottlenecks/risks

- Strong ability to multitask, prioritize and work independently with minimal supervision; Leadership and problem-solving abilities; Curious, able to identify opportunities, seek improvement and drive change

- Fluent English (written and spoken)

- Passion for gaming is a solid plus
