Job summary
The Resource Coordinator is responsible for managing the client account freelance translation pool across all languages. It’s important to build and maintain a close relationship with all the relevant vendors working on the account.
Working with the Account team and in close cooperation with the Resource Management team, this position primary focuses on ensuring the Account is equipped with resources best qualified for the nature of each project. They will also collaborate with the QC Lead to provide ongoing feedback to existing vendors within the pool and work on improving the deliverable to the client where needed and ensuring that all SLAs are met in terms of on-time deliveries (by vendors to KW) and quality standards (in collaboration with QC Lead).
The Resource Coordinator is a proactive member of the Localization team, developing and contributing their expertise for existing and new processes. He/she will seek innovative and efficient solutions in the work they do. He/she will be committed to delivering a first class resource management service to all stakeholders globally.
Key responsibilities & activities
Constantly analyse account language pools to assess the need for additional external recruitment and/or internal onboarding from existing poolSupport the Account Manager in anticipating and dealing with any resourcing shortfallActively seek, in cooperation with the MT team, to optimise translation costsLiaise with all external resources and the Quality Control teams to improve the quality and responsiveness of their service delivery to the CompanyIn cooperation with the Resource Management team, the tech and the MT team, contribute to develop and implement new processes, in order to increase efficiencies.Requirements
TECHNICAL COMPETENCIES
Higher education in translation or language related studies, or equivalent experience2+ years localisation experience and sound knowledge of the translation industryPrevious resource management or multilanguage coordination experienceFluency in English and ChineseExcellent knowledge of MS OfficePrevious experience in working with remote management and remote teams highly desirable.BEHAVIORAL SKILLSExcellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task, work independently as well as within small teamsProblem solving attitude with a willingness to work in a dynamic, multicultural and fast growing/changing environmentHigh level of commitment with a client and team focused approach
Working hours from 7.00 am until 16.00 pm (1-hour lunch)
