Localisation QA Test Lead - Ottawa

At Keywords, the LQA Test Lead role is primarily to manage a project for its success. This includes mentoring and supervising testers, while maintaining communication with our clients to ensure that we’re aligned for the success of their project. The Lead is also responsible for continuously coaching and developing our testers through evaluations and live constructive feedback.

Responsibilities:

Delegation / Assignation of tasks to test team;

Delivering regular reports on project progress;

Keep Supervisor and test team aware of project status and blockers;

Communication of department software and hardware requirements to proper support groups;

Manage bug database and workflow, including vetting issues for quality;

Monitor test progress and strategy in accordance with project goals and needs;

Evaluating and coaching testers while creating a positive and motivating atmosphere;

Following and enforcing our security policies;

Primary point of contact with client partners and test team;

Pro-actively solve problems as they arise.

Requirements

Minimum 1-year Lead experience;

Minimum 2 years Games QA industry experience;

Advanced skills with MS Excel;

Available on morning and day shifts;

Fluent written and verbal communication in English;

Communicate effectively in all formats;

Good problem-solving and multi-tasking skills;

Studies in management are an asset;

Familiarity with linguistic and translation databases an asset;

Experience with JIRA, TTP, DevTrack, and SpiraTest an asset.
