Role overview:
We are looking for a Localisation Project Manager with audio experience to join our award-winning International Production & Localisation team at PlayStation Studios.
Our Project Managers work with some of the most creative and quality-driven development teams in the industry to deliver high quality audio and text localisations for critically acclaimed franchises like The Last of Us, Horizon, Ghost of Tsushima, God of War, Dreams. We also work closely with publishing teams across Sony Interactive Entertainment, including Marketing, PR and Operations, to help manage their global translation requirements for printed materials and digital content.
What you'll be doing:
- Plan for and manage the global localisation of 1 st and 2 nd Party games, both audio and text, into 30+ languages.
- Work cross-functionally with SIE’s Publishing teams, territories and external agencies to manage global translation requirements for game materials.
- Collaborate with producers, developers and sound teams to capture project requirements and create tailored localisation solutions for the assigned projects.
- Work effectively with external vendors to ensure translators and recording studios have all the information and materials needed to meet the project requirements and deliver top-quality localisation.
- Assess the quality of the localised audio deliveries, and request adjustments from recording studios where necessary.
- Create and maintain detailed budgets and schedules throughout the localisation cycle, and provide status updates to key stakeholders across development, QA, and sound production.
- Identify potential project risks and work to offer effective solutions for resolution or mitigation.
- Advise on localisation best practices; support with any tool/process/font/language-specific queries or requirements.
- Identify gaps or inefficiencies in workflows or tooling, and work with relevant stakeholders to develop and implement innovative solutions to remedy.
- Partner with Vendor Management to track and analyse vendor performance and devise solutions for any issues identified.
- Organise castings with talents and professional voice actors across the globe, and define selection with local territories and production.
What we're looking for:
- You have 3+ years’ localisation experience in games or digital entertainment, preferably in a project management or audio production role.
- You have excellent knowledge of audio localisation and/or dialogue production.
- You are familiar with audio production, editing and mastering processes – working knowledge of professional audio editing tools a distinct advantage.
- You are a great collaborator with solid communication skills, both written and verbal.
- You have excellent knowledge of project management methodologies and industry standard localisation tools.
- You have exceptional organisation and prioritisation skills, and experience in managing complex, large scope projects.
- You work independently, and can manage several projects at once whilst meeting tight deadlines.
- You are curious and creative, with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- You are fluent in more than one language.
