Localisation Manager (Japanese to German)

Position Summary
The role requires working experience as localisation specialist. The successful candidate must be a proactive individual who combines localisation knowledge, solid organisation and attention to detail. They must have great communication and be able to take decisions independently. They must promote team work and show supervisory and managerial skills.
Primary Responsibilities
- Manage the localisation specialist team, by ensuring that the team has clear tasks to perform and the resources it needs to do its job
- Maintain the team as a performing unit, setting clear team objectives and evaluating individual contribution and performance
- Coach and support the team, by promoting active/open listening and a positive social climate
- Translate and proofread computer games-related material. Lead projects as required
- Assign lead translators/supports with the Senior Manager of Localisation
- Channel communication to/from the team and report to upper management
- Lead the training of new internal/external staff
- Support localisation specialists/editing team/coordination as required, including FIGS coordination
- Collaborate with other managers in order to keep high level of standards/quality across all languages
- Work efficiently and contribute to the TPCi organisation as a whole
Knowledge & Skills & Experience
- Experience as localisation specialist at TPCi desirable
- Experience in working with a team of localisation specialists in multiple languages preferably in the video game industry
- Ability and flexibility to work under pressure, tight deadlines and shifting schedules
- Good team player
- Great communication skills essential
- Great attention to detail
- Supervisory/Managerial skills desirable
- Fluent Japanese and English and great verbal and written communication skills
- Native German speaker with creative writing style
- Proficient in MemoQ and MS Office Package
- Knowledge of local culture for language of expertise
- Knowledge of the brand and Nintendo guidelines
Education
- Degree level or higher
- Japanese Proficiency Test Level 1 or equivalent
