Job Description
As our new Local IT Technician (f/m/d) at Ubisoft Mainz, you are responsible for delivering support for the local site employees. You enable production to deliver entertainment via information and the newest technology to enrich players' lives.
What you will do:
• Offer on-site and remote support to end users within the local responsibility
• Incidents and Requests management
• Manage local infrastructure (example, servers and network) where required
• Ensure approved security best practices and policies are being applied
• Provisioning and maintaining the employees work environment
• Interact with external vendors regarding support requests
• Strive to continually improve IT policies and processes
• Provides support for events & meetings
• Support employees during equipment moves
• Maintain the IT asset inventory
• Build and update documentation
Qualifications
What you bring:
- Relevant education in Information Technology or equivalent experience
- 2+ years of experience in technical support to end users (Workstations, Laptops, Smartphones)
- Excellent knowledge of Microsoft operating systems
- Excellent knowledge of the Microsoft Office suite
- Good English skills (spoken and written)
- Good knowledge of networking, cabling
- Good dexterity and ability to perform manual labor
- Good knowledge of SCCM, Active Directory
- Great sense of customer service
- Great team spirit
- Good listening, communication, and organizational skills
- Ability to make decisions and work autonomously in a fast-paced innovative environment
Nice to have:
- Linux knowledge
- Knowledge of multimedia equipment
- Scripting ability (batch files, PowerShell)
- Mac OS X knowledge
- MCSE, MCSA or MCP certification
- Knowledge of agile methodologies
