Job Description
As the Local IT Manager you are responsible for ensuring a proper support service quality for a specific site. You will oversee all operational tasks related to the site such as meeting room configuration, team movement, inventory management and request follow-up. You will be fully involved on the operational tasks of its team, dedicating most of its time to operational topics.
What you will do
- Manage the Local IT team, creating a collaborative working environment
- Own the studio’s IT decision process and provide support to the studio’s strategic objectives in alignment with the global strategy and the other sites of the region
- Gather feedback from representatives of all projects & studio management to make sure support is in line with expectations
- Work with the Finance team to agree the IT budget
- Oversee the customer request distribution and timely resolution within the Local IT team of the site
- Ensure quality reporting on operational tasks and status of support, budget and inventory -This includes forward planning and stock ordering
- Ensure Software and Hardware standards and inventory are updated and accurate
- Ensure awareness of Ubisoft and Studio Best Practices / Policies
- Be the technical and managerial escalation level for the studio’s employees
- Represent and advocate the studio’s interests within the global IT organization, providing reports of projects for global use
- Support other operations teams with additional tasks
- Working collaboratively with our other studio Local IT Managers and teams
- Responsible for the triage, execution, and resolution of all local IT tickets
- Periodically covering other studio sites as the situation requires
Qualifications
What you will bring
- Minimum of 3+ years experience in developing, leading and managing IT teams
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Strong people management and organizational skills
- Broad technical IT knowledge with experience in IT support
- Experience with budget management
- Service oriented mentality
- Great understanding of site realities and awareness of regional and global impacts
- Continuous improvement mindset
- Ability to prioritize a broad range of tasks and projects efficiently & make decisions quickly and effectively in a fast-paced changing environment
- Ability to work autonomously with ownership
- Ability to work well in teams, to cooperate and communicate with individuals and stakeholders from various backgrounds and hierarchical levels
- College diploma in Information Technology, or equivalent experience
- ITIL v3 or higher foundation certification is a benefit
- PMP or Prince2 certification is a benefit
