Live Operations Producer II - Infrastructure Platform

As a Live Operations Producer on the Infrastructure Platform (IP) team, you will guide our teams to maintain a high live site up time, run reviews on incidents, and ensure that new releases follow the expectations you help set. Infrastructure Platform operates everything from the network backbone to the servers in our data center and in the cloud, to the services that run the operate those servers globally, to the services that game developers use to build and deploy the game at all phases of development. This team powers the services and infrastructure behind League of Legends, Team Fight Tactics, Legends of Runeterra, VALORANT, and more to come. We operate at a scale that challenges us to improve and with players around the world we need to ensure we do the best for the players. You will report directly to the Delivery Lead for Infrastructure Platform.

Responsibilities:

• Champion the delivery of our service operations capability and recommend programs to collectively improve technical operations at Riot
• Support answering questions regarding new feature launches and tech requests and lead the change approval process for all our services to ensure releases are successful
• Provide updates and visibility on the portfolio release status to the leadership team and fellow producers
• Ensure launch readiness by implementing standards around road maps, delivery tools, release package adherence and milestone checkpoints for release coverage
• Lead the release process and ensure it is followed throughout the organization
• Develop and track ongoing deliverables of the live environment and services to the partners of your product
• Build essential business relationships with partners and customers
• Look for opportunities to increase the scope and depth of knowledge in relation to the business, process, and operational needs.
• Oversee the root cause analysis process to drive completion to ensure mistakes are not repeated
• Identify process improvement areas and solutions, share and encourage best practices, across global teams and work with global stakeholders to deliver an excellent experience to customers.
• Provide context about live service health and status to both players and Rioters that keeps up with our frequent update schedule
• Troubleshoot and solve complex problems of a technical nature and work with others to drive towards solutions.
• Engage with our product teams to define their live service and provide consultation on how they can maintain a continuous improvement mindset

Required Qualifications:

• 4+ years of experience shipping successful projects in a live tech environment
• Experience managing and guiding leaders and team members through compelling communications, demonstrating operational excellence, empathetic partnership and leading with domain expertise
• Impeccable written and verbal communication skills especially within technical space.
• Ability to effectively present and share information across a wide array of technical expertise and senior members of the organization
• Resourcefulness in project management and prioritization frameworks for both people and systems

Desired Qualifications:

Experience implementing or refining ITIL/DevOps practices and procedures in a SaaS environment
