Live Operations Director (Multiplayer Action)

A visionary game development studio founded in 2012, Firesprite builds innovative showcase titles for PlayStation platforms as part of the PlayStation Studios family.
Would you enjoy the freedom to create AAA games working from anywhere in the UK, including our Liverpool studio?
We're looking for a Live Operations Director to join the studio and shape development for years to come. You will be pioneering the studio strategy for Live Operations development. You will be supported in shaping and evolving your live operations team.
This is a great opportunity for a personable, seasoned leader to showcase their skills, and become a part of something very special right at the start of our journey. This role also offers an opportunity to refine and improve production processes across the studio.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work integrally with our games in development, understand and action the support required and build your team accordingly.
- A self starter, you can identify and prioritise the various aspects of Live Operations.
- Establish and maintain strong communication X depts with other team directors.
- Become a key part of our Production team to ensure maintenance and accuracy of project schedules
- Reporting progress to the team, studio management, and external partners
- Work together with the Production team to ensure quality targets are maintained alongside timescales and budget
- Developing a positive and collaborative team culture, ensuring an inclusivity of decision making
Requirements
- A Player-First mentality, you thrive on improving the player experience
- Working Knowledge of GaaS Development and the complex team make up required for successful continual development.
- Ability to advise and orchestrate process and tool pipelines and building a team organically to support these.
- Previous experience with long-term planning
- Natural management, organisational, problem-solving skills
- knowledge of industry standard packages (MS Office, Hansoft/Jira, Perforce etc)
- Strategizing to changes and risk during the project whilst maintaining a credible plan
- Strong written and verbal communication skills and a friendly, approachable nature
Additional or Desired Skills:
- Experience with data driven product design and decision making
- Knowledgeable of the development of F2P titles
- Experience in change management
- An eye for interpreting relevant trends using data insights to impact KPIs
- Experience of transitioning a studio from box product to GaaS
- Previous experience collaborating closely with a leadership team
- Past experience with console, pc and mobile development.
