Linux Administrator

We are looking for an experienced systems administrator with a focus on the Linux operating system environment. This is a great opportunity to become part of a collaborative and talented IT team that supports the Creative Assembly development teams and studio support departments.
You will be supporting critical infrastructure for the development teams and, with your lead, driving forward new projects to increase productivity. There will be opportunities to expand your existing skillsets as well as learn new applications, skills and systems. We are always keen to innovate and as such welcome new ideas and systems.
Key Responsibilities
The Linux Administrator will be supporting the day-to-day maintenance of many internal systems in conjunction with the Lead Linux engineer.
You will be instrumental in ensuring the stability, security and future planning for existing systems as well as taking on new projects. You will be working both on your own initiative, with guidance from the senior and with other disciplines within IT to learn many of the more involved and complicated systems and push forward with internal drives such as automation, documentation and project planning.
Additionally, you will sometimes be required to be a mentor to the front-line team where appropriate and where more in-depth knowledge is required.

Knowledge, Skill and Experience
Essential
- Experience in using CentOS (6 & 7)
- Strong skills in Linux shell command line operations.
- Scripting experience (Bash/Python/Perl)
- Familiarity with Perforce source control
- Familiarity with ELK Stack Systems
- Network file system knowledge (NFS, CIFS)
- Strong communication skill, both written and spoken
Desirable
- Familiarity with Redhat Enterprise Linux, Ubuntu
- Proven track record in customer service and project delivery
- Working knowledge of Jira, Confluence and other Atlassian products
- Web Server Application experience (NGINX, Apache)
- Experience with Zabbix or other monitoring systems (Monit, Nagios, Icinga, PRTG, etc)
- Working knowledge of Gitlab source control
- Working knowledge of next-gen storage technologies: NVMe, RDMA, ROCE
- Experience working with a network parallel file system (Spectrum Scale)
