2K seeks a highly motivated, organized, and passionate person to join our global licensing and partnerships team. The role will reside on our dedicated 2K Music effort as our Music Licensing Manager and will report to the Senior Manager of Global Partnerships and Licensing, assisting in our world-class music activations, in-game soundtracks, and dynamic marketing across all 2K brand titles.

An aptitude for organizational excellence and attention to detail is a must for the right candidate to thrive in this position.
What You Will Do:
- Coordinating and communicating with all 2K brand teams and studios to align on musical needs for all projects, including in-game soundtracks and marketing
- Research on rightsholders for music to be considered for use on 2K initiatives
- Securing quotes for synchronization of music on marketing trailers, in-game soundtracks, social media promotion
- Review of agreements and licenses
- Tracking services of music across all in-game and external marketing for 2K for both develop proficiency and sync
- Coordination and preparation of music agreements with both internal and external counsel
- Maintaining an excellent record of all uses of music across the brand and reporting on the status of a given synch license for all brand projects
- Handling and safeguarding highly confidential and proprietary information
- Reporting on rights, fees, and terms in place on all music licenses across 2K brand projects
Who We Think Will Be A Great Fit:
- A demonstrated aptitude for high-level organization and record-keeping across multiple projects for multiple studios and departments with great attention to detail
- Current and extensive knowledge of the musical landscape of artists, labels, and music industry business standards and practices
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- The ability to adhere to strict deadlines and execute immediately on tasks needed to meet them across multiple, diverse assignments
- A well-built initiative and “self-starter’s” mentality
- Flexibility and adaptability to a constantly changing environment
Bonus Points:
- A degree in the music business or equivalent 3-5 years in music licensing at a comparable level
