Licensing Manager, Hardlines

JOB SUMMARY
SEGA of Europe Licensing is hiring for a Licensing Manager, Hardlines who will help expand SEGA’s growing licensing business and further SEGA’s position as a worldwide entertainment leader. The Hardlines Manager will oversee outbound licensing of the company’s proprietary IP, including Sonic the Hedgehog and focus on growing SEGA Europe’s growing Hardlines business. The ideal candidate will have experience managing licensing programs for top entertainment brands, be educated and aware of pop culture trends, as well as knowledgeable on the latest consumer product trends. Ideal candidate will also have experience in the toy category. This position will work with the Director of Brand Licensing to determine short-term and long-term strategic objectives for Hardlines, which contribute to the long-term strategies of the licensing department.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage all Hardlines categories for SEGA Europe Licensing inclusive of account management, analyzing performance and marketing strategy for product sell-in and sell-through.
- Work with Director of Brand Licensing to set short-term and long-term hardlines strategies that enable growth and keep SEGA consumer products ahead trends
- Recommend growth opportunities in new categories and lead development of pitch materials
- Compose yearly forecast for licensing revenue, incorporating new business potential and existing partners.
- Define, develop and pursue licensing opportunities across multiple categories
- Review licensing contracts, negotiate key business terms with licensees and work closely with legal team to finalize contracts.
- Liaise with internal SEGA teams including Marketing, Creative, Animation and Product Development to ensure Licensing has the latest strategies that may affect licensing programs
- Other duties: Lead meetings, coordinate programs across all categories, review line lists, respond to product development team in the case of product submission changes, execute merchandising plans, public relations and advertising coordination.

Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: Degree educated and/or equivalent working experience.
- Experience: significant experience in a similar role, with previous experience in Hardlines licensing, toys and retail marketing
- Communication Skills: Excellent oral and written communication skills; ability to interact well with internal teams and various personalities; leadership, strategic, and creative thinking skills with an entrepreneurial spirit; ability to manage multiple tasks and tight deadlines with little supervision.
- Project Management Skills: Must be detail-oriented with strong organizational and presentation skills. Must possess a proven ability to multi-task various projects in a fast-paced environment. Should have the ability to self-manage and work efficiently.
- Computer skills: Strong MS Office including excel spreadsheets, and Powerpoint. Must be familiar with online contract management systems.
